I love you seems to be all you want to hear,
I miss you, draw me close, comfort me, keep me near.
I hate this silence between us when night comes about,
Darkness fills my thoughts, my heart, it has no way out.
My soul I gave to you with fear and faith completely,
My soul you damaged, you hurt, you bruised repeatedly.
Now all I ask is a little time, openness and space.
Let me heal inside, let me find my being, let me find my place.
Sometimes I sit and wonder how I managed to stay so long,
I sieve through the memories and I wonder what went wrong.
I remember the times we had together, the things we used to do,
But I grew up, we grew apart, I no longer needed you.
